Librarians teach sessions in which they discuss the services, resources, and layout of the Library. They also teach classes on information literacy, properly searching the Internet, and identifying appropriate resources. Librarians can also create Course Guides (example) that supplement the instruction session(s); faculty can then embed these guide directly into Blackboard.
Previously taught library instruction sessions require a week's notice. New library instruction sessions must be arranged at least two weeks in advance.

Following each instruction session, we like to solicit feedback from students about the experience. The form is available here.
The "Check Out A Librarian" service allows AUM students, faculty, and staff to schedule one-on-one appointments with a librarian of your choice. During these sessions, you can work with librarians on any type of research/information related assignments; your librarian will also show you how to navigate the online library resources and take advantage of all the library services!
