Ebsco Databases
Many of the Ebsco databases are available to the patrons of the AUM Library through the Alabama Virtual Library. Those databases which the AUM Library subscribes to and pays for are reported in bold below. The number of searches conducted in these databases increased by 49% over the preceding year. Abstract access increased by 17%, but the number of full-text articles retrieved decreased by 6%.For those databases containing full-text of articles which AUM subscribes to, there was an overall decrease in searching by 13%; an increase in the number of abstracts viewed (134%), but a decrease of 73% in the number of full-text articles retrieved.
This year saw transference of access to PsycINFO from ProQuest to Ebsco. By making this transfer, we saved approximately $750.
