Cambridge Scientific Abstracts Databases
This will be the first year that data is being reported for the CSA databases. In the past, the Library had access to the PAIS database through OCLC’s FirstSearch. However, a decision was made to convert that access to a direct subscription. Worldwide Political Science Abstracts is also acquired through CSA. These databases support the doctoral program in Public Administration, as well as the Political Science program.In comparison with usage of the PAIS database in OCLC’s FirstSearch, the number of searches in PAIS increased by 143%. Having this database as a stand-alone access have proven beneficial for the students in Political Science / Public Administration.
