
How to Connect to
AUM Library Databases
Off Campus Access
- Go to the
Library's Homepage @ http://aumnicat.aum.edu
- Catalog,
no log-in needed
- Databases,
you must log-in
- Click
on the "Databases"
link under the category Find Articles
- Click
on one of the nine subject categories
- Select
a database to search and click on the name of the database
- A
verification screen will be displayed
- Type
your last name in the User Name box
- Students:
Type the number 20 with your Senator number, aka S-number, followed by a zero
in the Library Barcode box. Be sure to include the letter "S" (without
quotation marks) as part of your Senator Number. If you do not know your Senator
Number, please click here
to look your Senator number up
- Faculty
and Staff: Type
the number 20 with your Social Security Number (no dashes) and a zero in the Password
box
- Click
on the Submit Query button and after a few seconds you should be connected to
the database
If you cannot connect to a database refer to the Troubleshooting
Database Access From Off-Campus guide OR or call the Library
Reference desk at (334) 244-3649 and report the problem.
Logging in to Computers in
the Library
- All users must use your last name, the first three letters of your first
name, and your middle initial.
- For students the password uses the number 20,
your Senator number (aka S-number) followed by a zero. Senator numbers include
the letter "S" (without quotation marks), so the letter "S"
must be included
- Example: John Edward Smith, Senator
number S11223333
smithjohe 20S112233330 If you are not connected
while in the Library, see the Lab Assistant or go to the Reference desk on the
second floor and report the problem.
